I’m Elizabeth Irving, an experienced genealogist and family historian with a Postgraduate Diploma in Genealogy from the University of Strathclyde.
From my base in the heart of lowland Scotland, I offer professional family history research and photographic services. If you want to trace your ancestors; if you’d like to see where they were born, lived and died; if you’d love to find out just how Scottish your roots are – I can help.
Located within easy reach of archives, libraries and other document repositories throughout central and southern Scotland, I can trace your ancestors in the numerous records they left behind. Using birth, marriage and death certificates, Old Parish registers, censuses, wills, poor law records, voters’ rolls, property and land records, old newspapers and many other resources, I can turn a long-forgotten person or a name on a tattered certificate into a vital piece of your family’s history.
All services are provided to your specification, from one crucial nugget of information to a fully-branched family tree.
Prices start at: £4.50 for a birth, marriage or death certificate “lookup”; £145 for a 4 generation family tree with report, pedigree chart and document references. Free initial search to ensure records can be found.
A member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, I adhere to the APG Code of Ethics. I’m also a member of Lanarkshire Family History Society.
