Family Ties Genealogy

We are family history researchers with a joint 50 years experience and our names are: Anne Giblin; and Ursula Osborne.

Anne has been researching her family over the last 40 years, beginning her research during her early teens. Anne researches both her own family and helps others on a voluntary basis at the local library. Anne also transcribes records on a regular, voluntary basis.

Ursula has a BSC Hons in the Social Sciences and has been researching both her own family, and the families of others, over the past 10 years.  Ursula also volunteers at the local library helping people to research both family and local history.

We are located in Shropshire, and have easy access to local Shropshire records, which are not online, located at Shropshire Archives, and in our local libraries, for those looking to research parish records and records pre 1837.

We also research any other parts of the country as requested; our specialisms being Lancashire, Dorset, Birmingham and the Black Country, Hallamshire (South Yorkshire) and the West Riding of Yorkshire.

We have a sliding scale of charges that will vary according to the customer’s requirements, and we will perform an initial 1 hour search for free, to ascertain whether sufficient information is available. If we cannot help we will inform you at the earliest opportunity. Please see our website for further details.  We can be contacted by
