I carry out research across Yorkshire and Lancashire covering a wide range of records from the 16th to the 20th century and specialising in Roman Catholic records.

I have substantial experience of family history research and have a Masters in History, and a Higher Certificate in Genealogy from the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies. I am an associate member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) and a member of APG (Association of Professional Genealogists).

I am tutor in family history at Calderdale Adult Learning, a committee member of Hebden Bridge Local History Society and I have written a number of articles on local interest and family history. My research study into the name Pickersgill is registered with the Guild of One Name Studies.
